Grisaia: Phantom Trigger The Animation

In the wake of the Heath Oslo incident, the US–Japanese anti-terror organization CIRS is thrust into the public eye. Rebuilt from scratch, its most sensitive work is separated into a new agency: SORD (Social Ops, Research & Development), created to cultivate a new generation of operatives capable of responding to the threats ahead.

To support that mission, SORD establishes specialist training schools across the country, including a repurposed Mihama Academy—once shuttered and neglected, now given a second life. Within its walls, a group of unconventional students hone skills far outside any standard curriculum, sometimes in the field, entrusted with real firearms and live rounds.

With little regard for their own safety, the girls of Mihama are repeatedly drawn into hazardous, extrajudicial operations carried out in the name of national security. As the demands of their work weigh on them, each must confront what it means to live by one’s own strength—and what future awaits those who choose the path of the gun.
