Grisaia: Phantom Trigger The Animation

In the aftermath of the Heath Oslo incident, the US–Japanese counterterror group CIRS is thrust into the public eye. Reconstructed from scratch, its most clandestine operations are separated into a new organization: SORD (Social Ops, Research & Development), created to cultivate a fresh generation of operatives capable of confronting the next threat.

To achieve that goal, SORD establishes specialist training schools across the country, including a repurposed Mihama Academy—once abruptly shut down and left to languish. Now Mihama houses a small, unconventional group of students who refine their rare talents day by day, sometimes in the field, trusted with firearms and live ammunition despite the risks.

With little regard for their own safety, these girls are repeatedly drawn into perilous, extrajudicial missions in the name of national security. As they shoulder the weight of being “useful” to others, the question remains: what future awaits those who have chosen to live—and fight—by the gun?
