The Tale of Outcasts

Wisteria, an orphaned girl scraping by on the fringes of the British Empire in the late 19th century, knows a life defined by hardship and isolation. Everything shifts when she meets Marbas—an immortal, furred being of great power who is as solitary as she is, and pursued by hunters.

With the world around them shared by humans and humanlike beasts, the two travel across the Empire together, searching for somewhere they can exist side by side without fear—if such a refuge can be found.
