Chizuko Date has always been on the move due to her mother's job, never forming deep connections or staying in one place for too long. However, her life takes an unexpected turn during a visit to her grandfather Suikyou when she witnesses a captivating battle between the magical girl Berry Blossom and Chroma, a member of the sinister organization Fossa Magna. Inspired by Berry Blossom's bravery, Chizuko becomes her enthusiastic supporter, reveling in the excitement of magical girl adventures.

As time goes by, Berry Blossom’s fame begins to wane, largely due to Chroma’s repeated failures. When Chizuko unexpectedly comes face to face with Chroma, she expresses her frustrations over his ineptitude. To his surprise, Chroma reveals that his constant defeats could cost him his position within Fossa Magna. In a twist of fate, he implores Chizuko to join him as his partner in villainy, leaving her torn between her loyalty to the magical girl she admires and the chance to help her adversary reclaim his former glory.
