A Salad Bowl of Eccentrics

Private detective Sousuke Kaburaya is scraping by when an unexpected visitor literally drops into his life: Sara da Odin, an imperial princess from another world. In a Japan without magic, Sara’s casual use of spells in public quickly draws attention, leaving Sousuke little choice but to shelter her. As she explores the internet, manga, and everyday modern comforts, Sara gradually settles into her new surroundings and even begins helping out as Sousuke’s assistant.

Sara’s loyal knight, Livia de Udis, follows through the same portal but ends up elsewhere, where she’s taken in by a homeless man who accepts her strange story and quirks without hesitation. Stripped of her former status, Livia adapts with surprising speed to life on the streets. Though the two newcomers walk very different paths, their upbeat determination ripples outward, touching the people they meet as they encounter both the kinder and harsher sides of Japan.
