Synopsis
Since he was a child, Kazuhiro Kitase has slipped into a vivid otherworld whenever he falls asleep. In that place, he can continue from where he last left off, and returning to Japan is as simple as sleeping again—or even dying. Over the years, those journeys have led him through countless adventures alongside Mariabelle, a striking elf affiliated with the Sorcery Guild.
During one expedition, the pair stumble into a dragon’s nest and accidentally rouse the creature as it guards its eggs, only to be burned to ashes. Kazuhiro expects to wake up alone as usual, but instead finds Mariabelle peacefully asleep beside him. With the shocking realization that the “dream” realm is a real alternate world, he begins showing Mariabelle everyday life in Japan—setting the stage for a strange, shared life that now stretches across two worlds.
