Blue Miburo

Orphaned at a young age, Nio Chirinu finally finds a modest sense of home while working as a waiter at his adoptive grandmother’s restaurant. That calm is shattered when Nio and his sister, Iroha, are used as bait in a sting to catch child abductors—an operation led by Toshizou Hijikata and Souji Okita of the feared ronin group known as Miburo. In the aftermath, Hijikata offers Nio a place among their ranks, asking him to help safeguard the streets of Kyoto.

Haunted by his own limitations, Nio throws himself into training to keep pace with the swordsmen around him. Yet earning trust proves difficult, especially with peers like Tarou Tanaka and Hajime Saitou. As he fights for acceptance, Nio must shape his own idea of justice and find the strength to stand against those who threaten the city.
