Peace Maker Kurogane

Haunted by the sight of his parents’ murder at the hands of a member of the Choushuu, 15-year-old Ichimura Tetsunosuke becomes consumed by the desire to grow stronger and take revenge. That drive leads him to the Shinsengumi, the famed samurai police force he hopes to join.

But wanting power is not the same as possessing it. Tetsunosuke lacks the skill, discipline, and cold resolve required to cut down anyone who threatens the Shinsengumi’s vision of peace. With encouragement from his brother Tatsunosuke and the comrades he finds within the unit, he begins to learn what it truly means to stand among them—along with the bloodshed and suffering that come with the name.
