College hasn’t done much to curb Midori Nagumo’s habit of drifting through life with her head in the clouds. With adulthood bringing tuition, rent, and real responsibilities, she still prioritizes having a good time—often to the exasperation of her more grounded “best friend” Niikura, who’s focused on building a future as a photographer.

Niikura’s plans are repeatedly derailed by Midori’s impulsive ideas, drawing them into the orbit of Wako Izumi, a persistent yet absentminded classmate who’s constantly snapping photos of whatever amuses her. Before long, the three wind up sharing an apartment and trying to make sense of daily life in the city of City, where the ordinary rarely stays ordinary for long.
