Mobile Suit Gundam: GQuuuuuuX

Universal Century 0079 sees the One Year War erupt between the Earth Federation and the Principality of Zeon. In a pivotal encounter, the feared Zeon ace Char Aznable infiltrates a Federation base and seizes a prototype mobile suit known as the Gundam, turning its power toward Zeon’s cause and helping secure a decisive victory. Not long after, an accident tied to the Gundam’s advanced systems causes Char and his trademark red mobile suit to disappear without a trace.

Six years later, unrest still flares across space. On a peaceful colony, teenager Amate “Machu” Yuzuriha lives with her mother and chafes against an ordinary routine while her peers bury themselves in cram school. Her life changes when the cutting-edge Gundam QuuuuuuX crash-lands—part of a Zeon unit—and Machu discovers an unexpected talent for piloting it, using the machine to hold off Federation forces with help from the enigmatic Shuuji Itou, who operates a Gundam eerily similar to Char’s missing unit.

Their fight draws the attention of mobile suit fans who compete in paired, sport-like battles. Seeking excitement and a place to belong, Machu teams up with Shuuji and is pulled into a string of intensifying clan clashes—just as signs of a larger conflict begin to gather overhead.
