Midori Yamabuki, a dedicated teacher, finds herself in a precarious situation when an urgent call beckons her back to her home planet. However, the invitation quickly reveals itself as a cunning ploy orchestrated by the notorious galactic warlord, Dr. Mashirito. Faced with this unexpected threat, Dr. Senbei Norimaki, along with his spirited robot daughter Arale and a lively group of students, must embark on a daring journey through the cosmos to rescue her.

As they navigate the challenges of space, the crew encounters a series of humorous mishaps and absurdities typical of their adventures.
