On the isolated Machine Island, a fierce struggle unfolds between three powerful factions: the Garan Army, the Kiba Army, and the Aira Army. Each faction vies for control over the island's abundant resources, which enable them to manufacture a seemingly endless supply of formidable giant robots. This battleground is not only a site of conflict but also a prison, cut off from the outside world.

As tensions rise, the world government uncovers a dire threat: the island's central power reactor is on the verge of catastrophic failure, with only 66 hours remaining before it detonates and potentially obliterates life on Earth. In a desperate bid to avert disaster, they dispatch the Death Caprice squad, featuring mercenaries Ken Kaido and Ryo Magami, equipped with the mighty Mazinkaiser. However, as they embark on their perilous mission, questions linger about whether sending them into the heart of chaos was the right decision.
