In the gleaming Russell City, a rot spreads beneath the surface: “Horrors,” beings born from human negativity, erupt into violence and disorder. Standing against them is the covert Makai Order, operating through ordinary storefronts while dispatching Makai Knights and Makai Alchemists to hunt these creatures in the shadows.

Among their ranks is Sword, a towering warrior who bears the title of Golden Knight and wields the Garo armor and blade. Carrying knowledge of a conspiracy that could endanger the entire Order, he follows a single clue—“El Dorado.” During a battle, he crosses paths with Sophia “Sophie” Hennis, a teenage girl searching for answers about her brother’s long-ago disappearance, tied to the same mysterious words. Together, they pursue the truth behind El Dorado and the connection to Sophie’s missing brother.
