Each month, celestial capsules called Rakuho descend across the continent, carrying metallic armbands that let their owners transform into mechanical beings known as Briheights. With these gifts tied directly to military power, rival nations clash relentlessly to seize as many offerings as they can.

A routine fall changes everything when a Rakuho crashes in the countryside carrying an unexpected passenger: a black-haired man who calls himself Back Arrow. His claim that he comes from beyond the wall draws immediate attention—and threatens to upend the beliefs that have shaped Lingalind for generations.
