Synopsis
In a unique blend of humor and adventure, McDull, a kindergarten student from Hong Kong, is the quirky descendant of Mak-zi, an ancient philosopher known for his ahead-of-their-time inventions. As the story unfolds, it begins with a group of archaeologists who unearth a rudimentary artifact linked to Mak-zi during their research ahead of the Three Gorges Dam construction. This relic, despite its historical significance, is deemed too crude for display in museums, leading to its placement on a barge that drifts along the Yangtze River.
As McDull navigates the ups and downs of childhood, his lineage colors his experiences with a touch of whimsical charm. The echoes of his ancestor's inventive spirit resonate in his daily life, setting the stage for a series of comedic misadventures that highlight both the innocence of youth and the peculiar legacy of an unconventional philosopher. Through laughter and lessons, McDull embarks on a journey filled with warmth and a dash of nostalgia, inviting viewers to reflect on the treasures of imagination and heritage.
