In a far-future world where the militant Maruhage Empire seizes people’s hair as a means of control, one unlikely rebel rises to push back. Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo—sporting a golden afro and wielding “steel” nose hairs—steps in to save a teenager named Beauty from the empire’s henchmen, setting the two on the road toward confronting Emperor Tsuru Tsurulina IV.

As their journey continues, Bo-bobo crosses paths with new allies and a steady stream of eccentric enemies from within Maruhage’s ranks.
