Demonbane

Kurou Daijuuji scrapes by as a down-on-his-luck detective in Arkham City until Ruri Hado of the Hado Financial Group hires him to track down a mysterious magic book. He turns the job down at first, but a hefty reward changes his mind. During the search, Kurou crosses paths with Al, a beautiful girl who is, in truth, an immensely powerful grimoire.

Kurou and Al enter a contract that grants him formidable magic, and Al soon brings Demonbane—an advanced “deus machina” under the Hado Financial Group’s control—into the fight. With Demonbane deployed against the Black Lodge’s mechanical threat, the conflict between the Hado Financial Group and the Black Lodge escalates into open war.
