Yuki Sanada, shy and prone to anxiety, never feels settled for long as he moves from place to place with his grandmother. When they arrive in the laid-back seaside town of Enoshima, he hopes the change of scenery will finally let him blend in—until a bold new transfer student, Haru, turns his quiet routine upside down.

Haru loudly insists he’s an alien and, without hesitation, declares Yuki his friend. Dragging him into fishing alongside their classmate Natsuki Usami, Haru sets an improbable goal: use their newfound teamwork on the water to help avert a strange threat lurking in the ocean. What follows mixes offbeat comedy with a light sci-fi twist as Yuki navigates friendship, fitting in, and the unexpected pull of Enoshima’s shores.
