After awakening in a coffin at the bottom of a lake two decades earlier, Bayonetta is left with only fragments of who she once was. Determined to reclaim her lost memories, the Umbra Witch wages a relentless battle against the forces of Heaven, bound by a pact with the demonic powers that fuel her supernatural abilities. At her side is Rodin, a cryptic bartender and weapon-smith who outfits and advises her as the search for answers grows more dangerous.

Shadowing Bayonetta is Luka Redgrave, a driven journalist convinced she’s tied to his father’s death and unwilling to let the truth slip away. Her pursuit shifts when she crosses paths with a young girl named Cereza, even as the formidable Jeanne—another Umbra Witch aligned with the very forces Bayonetta opposes—moves to block her at every turn. As their paths collide, the mystery behind Bayonetta’s past begins to point toward a larger conspiracy linking them all.
