The World Ends with You The Animation

In the heart of Shibuya, Neku Sakuraba suddenly awakens with two black pins in hand—items that let him hear the thoughts of those nearby. Along with that unsettling gift comes another sight: “Noise,” vicious creatures that can “erase” people completely. Cut off from the outside world and confined within the city, Neku receives a mission with a clear ultimatum—fail, and he’ll be erased.

During an attack, he crosses paths with Shiki Misaki, who urges him to form a partnership pact so they can fight back. Shiki reveals they’re both “Players” in the Reaper’s Game, a seven-day contest where each day brings a new assignment and survival is never guaranteed. As the days tick by, Neku and Shiki encounter other Players and Reapers, face increasingly dangerous Noise, and begin to uncover the mystery at the center of the game.
