Nobunaga Concerto

“Japan’s history has nothing to do with me,” says easygoing high schooler Saburou—right before he’s abruptly sent back to the Sengoku period and comes face-to-face with Oda Nobunaga. The real Nobunaga, weakened and fleeing his own retainers, notices their striking resemblance and asks Saburou to impersonate him, handing over what he needs to pass as the feudal lord before disappearing.

Still reeling from the time slip, Saburou is left to navigate a violent, unfamiliar era while wearing the name of one of Japan’s most famous warlords. Relying on his modern perspective and instincts, he sets out to play the role of the man who sought to unify the country, even as the consequences of that borrowed identity begin to close in.
