In the quiet town of Sakuranomori, a close-knit circle of childhood friends faces a painful goodbye when Sana Hidaka must move to Tokyo for his parents’ work. Reluctant to leave, he parts from the gentle Aoi Oribe, the spirited Wakatsuki twins Shuri and Shuusuke, and the bright, upbeat Nanaka Yatsushiro—clinging to the belief that distance won’t erase what they shared.

Five years later, 16-year-old Sana returns home hoping to pick up where life left off. Sakuranomori feels familiar, but the friends he remembers have changed, carrying secrets and private burdens that cast a quiet unease over their reunion and put their once-unshakable bonds to the test.
