In 1983, the Cold War still divides the world as humanity fights for survival against the BETA—mysterious alien invaders bent on wiping out all life. Schwarzes Marken centers on Second Lieutenant Theodor Eberbach and East Germany’s 666th TSF Squadron, a feared unit known for prioritizing mission success above individual lives. Commanded by celebrated ace Captain Irisdina Bernhard, the squadron is deployed for high-risk counterassault operations against laser-class BETA. Tensions rise further when the idealistic newcomer Katia Waldheim arrives, and her presence draws the scrutiny of the Stasi—adding political danger to an already unforgiving war.
