In a far‑future age, a mysterious presence known only as “The World” is said to have safeguarded Earth for so long that war has faded into legend. Its whereabouts are unknown, yet the airship Norn is entrusted with a singular mission: transport nine people gifted with extraordinary abilities to The World.

Once the final passenger is gathered, the Norn departs with a group that includes Koharu, who has finally broken free of isolation but fears the ruin her power can cause; Mikoto Kuga, a noble-born girl who uses her barrier ability to defend the ship and its occupants; and Nanami Shiranui, whose gift brings only suffering and who carries a wish to atone for a past sin with her life. Tension grows when the passengers discover the headcount doesn’t add up—and as they search for the stowaway, an unknown attacker strikes, determined to halt the Norn’s journey. Amid the turmoil, deeper doubts surface about why these powers were bestowed and what awaits them upon reaching The World.
