Myriad Colors Phantom World

Phantoms—spirits, youkai, and other supernatural beings once dismissed as folklore—suddenly become an everyday reality after a brain-infecting virus alters how people perceive the world. As society adjusts to the revelation that these entities have been living alongside humanity all along, the same phenomenon leaves many in the younger generation with unusual powers suited to confronting phantoms that turn dangerous.

At Hosea Academy, Haruhiko Ichijou and Mai Kawakami put those abilities to work as members of Team E, a group tasked with managing phantom-related incidents. Haruhiko can summon and seal phantoms through his drawings, while Mai channels elemental force into her martial arts, and they’re joined by the amicable phantom Ruru. Between action and mischief, their days are spent handling the strange disruptions that arise where the ordinary and the uncanny overlap.
