Ryuuichi Naruhodou has wanted to become a defense attorney since childhood, determined to stand up for the innocent when no one else will. That ideal is put to the test the moment he takes on his first case as a rookie under the guidance of his mentor, Chihiro Ayasato, and discovers that the courtroom is a relentless battleground where every statement can turn the tide.

Opposing him is Reiji Mitsurugi, a formidable prosecutor who pursues guilty verdicts with uncompromising intensity, forcing Ryuuichi to find contradictions and expose lies—often with a well-timed cry of “Objection!”
