.hack//G.U. Trilogy

Based on CyberConnect2’s hit game trilogy, **.hack//G.U. Trilogy** retells key events in CG as it follows Haseo inside the online MMORPG **The World:R2**. Known as a feared PKK (“Player Killer Killer”) called the “Terror of Death” and once part of the now-disbanded Twilight Brigade, he crosses paths with **Azure Kite**, whom he mistakes for **Tri-Edge** and blames for what happened to Shino. The encounter ends in disaster when Azure Kite overwhelms him and **Data Drains** him—dropping Haseo from level 133 to level 1 and stripping away his equipment and contacts, leaving him with unsettling questions about the technique and its user.

As Haseo continues his search, he gains the **Avatar Skeith**, granting him the power to summon it and use abilities such as Data Drain himself. With that strength, he pursues a way to save **Shino**, who was attacked six months earlier by the PK **Tri-Edge**—a killer whose victims are said to be unable to return to The World—while Shino’s player, **Shino Nanao**, lies in a coma.
