Hinako Note

Raised in rural Japan, Hinako “Hina” Sakuragi freezes up when meeting new people, so rigid that she’s compared to a scarecrow. After being moved by a play on a school trip, she decides theater might help her break through her shyness. Hina heads to Tokyo, moves into Hitotose Manor, and enrolls at Fujiyama High with plans to join its well-known drama club.

Her hopes stall when she discovers the theater club has been inactive for a long time, leaving her unsure where to turn. Noticing Hina’s determination, Hitotose Manor’s landlady, Chiaki Hagino, suggests forming a new troupe with the boarding house residents as its cast. From there, Hina begins juggling school life and her first steps onstage, learning the basics of performance with the steady support of her new friends.
