Comic Girls

Kaoruko “Chaos” Moeta is an aspiring manga creator struggling to find her footing. Though she wants to write stories about high school girls, her drafts lack spark and her ideas aren’t landing. Worried about her stalled progress, her editor urges her to get out of her shell—and suggests a new environment that might help.

Following that advice, Chaos moves into a dorm shared by female manga artists and meets her fellow residents: Tsubasa Katsuki, who works on shounen manga; Ruki Irokawa, known for erotic manga with a female readership; and Koyume Koizuka, a shoujo artist who, like Chaos, hasn’t yet been serialized. As they live and work side by side, the girls trade encouragement and inspiration, pushing one another to improve and chase the goal of becoming published professionals.
