Theatre of Darkness: Yamishibai 4 weaves together a new set of supernatural horrors: a salaryman who buries a dead cat and is soon plagued by what follows, a college student whose bargain apartment conceals something dreadful, boys poking around an abandoned house and discovering a peculiar fish tank, and a man who boards the wrong bus only to find himself in escalating danger. A date at an amusement park also takes a sudden, ominous turn—one more reminder that in these stories, the ordinary can slip into the terrifying without warning.
