Set three decades after the adventures of Keita Amano, the tale unfolds in a world where the magic of Youkai has faded into memory. Once a young boy equipped with a remarkable wristwatch that allowed him to summon and befriend Youkai, Keita now lives unaware of the supernatural realm he once navigated so effortlessly. The watch, deemed too powerful to remain in existence, has been lost to time, becoming a mere legend whispered among those who remember.

As the years pass, a dark force emerges in the form of the Onimaro virus, infecting individuals with malicious intentions and transforming them into chaotic entities known as Kaodeka Oni. With the balance between humans and Youkai under threat, a new generation must rise to reclaim the power of the Youkai Watch.
