In Tokyo’s newly established Shiniki district, diligent public prosecutor Zen Seizaki of the Tokyo District Public Prosecutors Office is assigned a false advertising case. Working alongside assistant officer Atsuhiko Fumio, he traces the allegations to Japan Supiri, a pharmaceutical company accused of submitting fabricated clinical research for a new drug. The investigation turns unsettling when Zen reviews materials linked to anesthesiologist Shin Inaba and discovers a page smeared with blood, hair, and skin—covered in the repeated scrawl of the letter “F.”

As Zen presses on, the inquiry expands far beyond corporate wrongdoing, drawing him into a hidden scheme entwined with the district’s mayoral election. With connections reaching into the election’s key figures and people closer to him than expected, Zen is forced into a tightening web of corruption and deception that tests his sense of justice and his grasp on what’s true.
