Senryu Girl

At Karai High School, 16-year-old Nanako Yukishiro is known for her gentle, charming presence—but she doesn’t speak aloud. Instead, she expresses herself through senryuu, concise 17-syllable poems that turn everyday moments into quiet conversation.

Eiji Busujima, also 16, left behind his middle-school delinquent reputation after discovering a love for senryuu. Though his intimidating appearance often gives the wrong impression, he finds an easy connection with Nanako in the Literature Club. Together, they navigate school life with a warm, understated rhythm, where a few carefully chosen syllables are more than enough.
