Fifteen years after a hyperspace gate opened in the Pacific, Earth found itself linked to a realm of fairies and monsters. The coastal city of San-Teresa swelled into a sprawling crossroads for more than two million visitors from the other side—and with that rapid growth came a darker undercurrent of drugs, prostitution, and trafficking. In response, the San-Teresa Metropolitan Police created a specialized unit to confront the crimes thriving in the city’s shadows.

Kei Matoba, a former JSDF soldier turned top detective with a habit of bending procedure, is shaken when a fairy-trafficking operation ends in disaster and costs the life of his longtime partner, Rick Fury. Ordered to continue the investigation with an assigned counterpart, Kei is paired with Tilarna Exedilika, a noble from the Farbani Kingdom and a Knight of Mirvor tasked with recovering a missing noble fairy tied to Kei’s last case. Though Kei harbors a deep mistrust of non-humans, the two are forced to work side by side—chasing leads that intertwine duty, loss, and vengeance across a city where two worlds collide.
