Adachi and Shimamura

Around midday at school, the quiet rhythm of two students rallying a table tennis ball echoes through the gym as they pass the time. On the second floor of the gymnasium, Sakura Adachi and Hougetsu Shimamura run into each other by chance and begin meeting there more often, letting an easy companionship take root.

As their days together accumulate, the connection between them grows harder to define. With contrasting temperaments and an increasing closeness, Adachi and Shimamura find themselves weighing what they mean to each other—especially when one of them starts to feel something that reaches beyond simple friendship, and the question becomes whether that step forward will draw them nearer or create distance between them.
