Japan Sinks: 2020

The Mutou family is going about an ordinary day: Kouichirou is at his construction job, Mari is on her way back from an overseas trip, Ayumu has just wrapped up track practice, and Gou is home playing video games. That routine shatters when a massive earthquake tears across the Japanese archipelago, transforming the country in an instant.

As society collapses and Japan begins to sink into the sea, the Mutous are forced to rely on one another to endure a near-apocalyptic landscape. Survival becomes only part of the struggle, as each step forward also demands confronting grief, separation, and the cost of what’s been lost.
