Tokyo Magnitude 8.0

Mirai Onozawa, a middle schooler chafing under tensions at home, has a fleeting, angry wish to see everything fall apart—only for a magnitude 8.0 earthquake to strike soon after. As summer vacation begins, she reluctantly accompanies her younger brother Yuuki to Odaiba for a robot exhibition he’s been looking forward to, unaware of how quickly an ordinary outing can turn into a disaster.

When the quake rocks the Kanto region, the siblings are caught inside the exhibition center and forced to confront the chaos and destruction spreading across Tokyo. In the aftermath, they meet Mari Kusakabe, a motorcyclist raising a child on her own, who chooses to help them. Together, they set out across a shattered city with one goal: make it home and reunite with their families.
