Drifting Home

Since his grandfather Yasuji passed away, Kousuke Kumagaya has gradually pulled away from Natsume Tonai, the friend he once grew up with like family in the same apartment complex. Their bond frays even further as Natsume clings to what they used to have—made harder to ignore when word comes that their old building is slated for demolition.

Drawn to the condemned complex by rumors of a ghost, Kousuke tags along with friends to explore the site and unexpectedly runs into Natsume. A heated clash over Yasuji’s old camera sends Natsume fleeing, and in the chaos a sudden, violent downpour swallows the building, flooding everything around it.

When the storm clears, the children are left stranded—adrift on the open sea with the apartment complex as their only shelter, cut off from the outside world. With no easy way to call for help, Kousuke and Natsume have to confront their unresolved feelings and work together if they hope to find a way back home.
