Steel Angel Kurumi

Set in Japan’s Taishō era (1912–1926), scientist Ayanokoji creates the Steel Angel—an artificial humanoid built with extraordinary physical power. The Imperial Army sees the project as a weapon for modern warfare, but Ayanokoji believes his invention should represent a new step for humanity. Defying military orders, he secretly completes a Steel Angel under the codename “Kurumi.”

Nakahito Kagura, a young boy taking a dare from his friends, sneaks into Ayanokoji’s home and discovers Kurumi lying motionless. When the Imperial Army suddenly attacks, the chaos sends Kurumi falling onto Nakahito—an accidental kiss that triggers a miracle and brings her to life.
