Far in the future, Earth’s overcrowding drives humanity to seek new worlds. Disaster strikes when the colony ship Mesopotamia malfunctions, leaving only six survivors—each of them male—who escape to a nearby, Earth-like planet called Terra II. Determined to preserve their mission, they establish six nations and continue humanity through cloning and genetic engineering, but the absence of women leads them to create highly advanced female androids known as Marionettes to handle labor and daily life. Built as efficient tools, the Marionettes are machines without emotions.

Everything changes when an ordinary boy named Otaru discovers and activates three rare combat-model Marionettes equipped with a “Maiden Circuit,” granting them the ability to feel. As Otaru helps their hearts develop, tensions rise beyond their home, and a neighboring nation’s ambitions threaten the fragile balance of Terra II—forcing Otaru and his newfound companions to stand up for their country.
