Bubblegum Crisis Tokyo 2040

After a catastrophic earthquake leaves Tokyo in ruins, the city is rapidly rebuilt with the help of humanoid robots called Boomers. Produced by the powerful Genom Corporation—now wealthy enough to push its reach beyond Earth—Boomers become the backbone of daily life as inexpensive labor. But the new Tokyo has a dangerous flaw: some Boomers suffer sudden neural failures, turning violent and leaving destruction and human casualties in their wake.

To contain the threat, the Advanced Police is created to handle Boomer-related incidents, while whispers spread about the Knight Sabers, a shadowy vigilante team taking the fight directly to the source. Drawn by those rumors, the adventurous Linna Yamazaki comes to Tokyo and crosses paths with singer Priscilla Asagiri, entrepreneur Sylia Stingray, and the spirited Nene Romanova—four women whose paths converge as they uncover how deep the Boomer crisis may truly run.
