Yakuza Fiancé: Raise wa Tanin ga Ii

Osaka’s Somei and Tokyo’s Miyama yakuza families agree to end years of hostility by binding themselves through marriage, arranging an engagement between their grandchildren: Yoshino Somei and Kirishima Miyama. Seventeen-year-old Yoshino relocates to Tokyo, living with the Miyama household and starting school alongside the fiancé she barely knows. Kirishima presents a flawless, courteous face—yet something in his pleasant demeanor leaves Yoshino uneasy.

Her instincts prove right. Beneath the polish, Kirishima is disturbingly violent and openly indulges in both cruelty and punishment, fixated on the idea of a fiancée who will “ruin” him. When Yoshino refuses to play the role he wants, he drops the act and lashes out at her.
