Champignon Witch

On the fringes of the kingdom, deep in the Black Forest, Luna—the feared “Champignon Witch”—lives alone in a secluded cottage. Though she occasionally ventures into town to deliver medicine, villagers keep their distance, wary of the poisonous mushrooms said to sprout wherever she walks. Branded a black witch in a land that recognizes only white witches, Luna survives by staying out of sight, knowing discovery could mean death.

Her quiet isolation is broken when she rescues a boy named Lize from the brink of death. Learning he is fated to become “The End of All Things,” Luna chooses to take him in as her student, determined to steer him away from a darker destiny. With little experience as a mentor and the threat of execution looming over them, she sets out to raise Lize into a powerful magician before fate—or the kingdom—catches up.
