Mako Kawai is a quiet university student who spends her time watching cooking videos and recreating the dishes she learns at home. Once far more outgoing as a child, she now struggles with social anxiety that makes even small steps—like trying a restaurant by herself or reaching out to new people—feel daunting.

Her routine shifts when she reunites in college with Shinon Ogawa, an energetic childhood friend who pulls her into a friendly circle alongside the laid-back Tsutsuji Higa and the steady Kurea Furutachi. As the three set their sights on forming a Food Culture Research Club, they invite Mako to become their fourth member—an offer that gradually opens the door to warmer days, shared meals, and a more connected campus life.
