Sweetness & Lightning

Since losing his wife, high school teacher Kouhei Inuzuka has been doing everything he can to raise his young daughter, Tsumugi. Between a demanding schedule and little confidence in the kitchen, he falls back on convenience-store meals—until he starts wishing he could give her something fresher and more comforting.

A chance offer from his student, Kotori Iida, brings Kouhei and Tsumugi to her family’s restaurant, only to find it frequently closed while Kotori’s mother is away for work, leaving Kotori to eat by herself. Before long, the three begin meeting there to cook together, turning simple homemade dishes into a gentle routine that reflects on family, care, and the quiet warmth of sharing a meal.
