Konoha Inoue is a second-year high school student whose days pass quietly—if not for a past incident two years earlier and a secret he keeps carefully hidden: he once wrote bestselling romance novels under a female pen name. Whatever happened back then left him determined to never write again.

That resolve is tested when he’s strong-armed into joining the school’s literature club by its president, third-year student Amano Tooko. Striking and eccentric, Tooko claims she “eats” literary works, and she makes Konoha her personal supplier—ordering him to produce a fresh piece of writing for her after school each day.
