Katanagatari

Set in Edo-period Japan, **Katanagatari** follows Shichika Yasuri, seventh head of the Kyotouryuu school—a swordless style that treats the human body itself as a blade. He lives in quiet exile with his sister Nanami until the sharp-tongued strategist Togame suddenly arrives and upends their secluded life.

Togame enlists Shichika in a shogunate-backed quest to gather twelve legendary weapons known as the “Deviant Blades.” More intrigued by Togame than by political ambitions, Shichika agrees, and the two set off across the country. Their search draws them into confrontations with formidable owners of the blades and other forces determined to derail Togame’s goal, pushing the pair to rely on each other as their partnership deepens amid constant danger.
