Kyousuke Date returns home late one night to a nightmare: his mother lies dying in a pool of blood, and with her last strength she drives a knife into his chest. He survives and recovers with unsettling speed, but the question of why she attacked him won’t let go. Searching for answers pulls him into a violent conflict between two opposing forces—the Hospital and the Kirihara Group—both of which soon set their sights on him.

In the midst of their pursuit, Kyousuke learns he has a twin sister named Runa, a fact kept from him until now, and the two factions pressure him for information he doesn’t have. As the attacks escalate, he discovers a frightening power within himself: the ability to transform into a grotesque mutant known as SoulTaker. Armed with this new form, Kyousuke sets out to confront both organizations, uncover the truth behind his mother’s final act, and keep Runa safe.
