Expelled from Paradise

After a catastrophic calamity leaves Earth in ruins, most of humanity abandons physical life and uploads their minds to DEVA, a sophisticated space station where existence continues inside a virtual world. With needs like hunger and even death no longer part of daily life, DEVA’s residents enjoy an uneasy calm—until a hacker known as Frontier Setter breaks in and broadcasts provocative messages throughout the system.

Deemed a serious security risk, Frontier Setter becomes the target of Angela Balzac, an officer in DEVA’s enforcement ranks. When the source of the intrusion is traced to the planet below, Angela transfers her consciousness into a cloned body and descends to the devastated surface to confront the threat. There, she teams up with the resourceful agent Dingo, and their investigation begins to expose unsettling truths about both the wasteland still called home and the “paradise” orbiting above it.
