Fifteen years into the war between humans and demons, the Hero grows impatient with the slow campaign and leaves his companions behind to push straight into the Demon Realm, aiming for the Demon Queen’s castle. There, he’s met with an unexpected reality: the Demon Queen is not only strikingly beautiful, but she asks for his cooperation rather than his surrender.

The Hero refuses at first, insisting the conflict is destroying the Southern Nations. The Demon Queen counters with a colder view of history—arguing that the war has also unified humanity and fueled prosperity, and warning that a sudden peace would cut off Central Nations aid and plunge hundreds of thousands into starvation. She proposes a plan to end the fighting without abandoning the world to collapse, but it will require the Hero at her side.

Persuaded by her reasoning, the Hero agrees to work with his former enemy. Bound by a vow to stay together through hardship, the two set out for the human world to pursue a peace that can last.
