Valvrave the Liberator

In the 71st year of the True Era, humanity has spread beyond Earth, building independent colonies in space. Two immense powers dominate the political landscape—the Atlantic Rim United States (ARUS) and the Dorssia Military Pact Federation—locked in conflict across both Earth and the stars. Between them stands a neutral, prosperous bloc led by Japan and the Islands of the Oceanian Republic (JIOR), determined to stay out of the fighting.

Peace shatters in a JIOR space colony when a Dorssian fleet violates its neutrality and attacks. Seventeen-year-old Haruto Tokishima is caught in the upheaval as the invaders move to claim the Valvraves, formidable machines rumored to be hidden beneath Sakimori Academy. Forced into action to protect those around him, Haruto pilots one of the Valvraves and accepts a contract for its power at the cost of his humanity—setting him on a path alongside L-elf, a brilliant and mysterious Dorssian operative, toward a revolt aimed at breaking the world’s balance of power.
